Description
RECOVERY ACTION. FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. DUNS 175252894. The modification addresses the following work: Program Direction funding is provided in support of the Department of Energy (DOE)/ Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) strategy for evaluating and selecting Applications in response to IRS Notice 2009-72 titled “Qualifying Advanced Energy Project Credit. NOTE: This action is awarded under Modification no. A105 that recognizes Work Authorization no. RA-10-020 (100258-20758-10, Rev. 0) issued under Management and Operating Contract number DE-AC52-06NA25396. This action is funded by Recovery Act dollars. Justification for Non-Fixed Price Type of Contract for WA* (added to description in FedBizOpps): Los Alamos National Security (LANS) was selected to provide assistance to the DOE in this Recovery Act work along with other DOE National Laboratories due to their familiarity with the subject matter and related technical capabilities and expertise. The work falls within the Weatherization and Intergovernmental Program of DOE Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, which is allowed under the prime contract Section J, Appendix B, Statement of Work Section 3.4 entitled Energy Supply of the current Contract based on the following paragraph: The Contractor shall conduct research that addresses energy supply issues by applying capabilities in the areas of exploration, reservoir modeling, integrated assessments, and environmental transport. The Contractor shall support DOE/NNSA’s efforts in the broad areas of energy efficiency, renewable energy, fossil energy, and nuclear energy.
