- The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), is conducting a market survey to seek potential sources from qualified Service-disabled Veteran-owned small business firms under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 711310 ($7 million) which have the capability to provide logistical support for the AHRQ Annual meeting. Sources must demonstrate that they have experience with meetings of similar size and the capacity to provide logistical support for the AHRQ Annual meeting. This will be an in-person meeting with up to 1500 attendees. The meeting will be held at the Bethesda North Marriott in September 2010, and will accommodate approximately 1500 people. The entire AHRQ meeting will take place over four days- Sunday through Wednesday. Each day will require 8- 13 break out sessions for 60-100 people each session. The contractor shall be responsible for all logistical support including, but not limited to, taking notes at selected meeting sessions, distributing materials for the meeting, and arranging all other logistical support for the meeting. The contractor shall arrange for travel for about 300 participants who will either be sponsored guests or speakers. The plenary session will be held on Monday and the reception on Monday night. Interested Service-disabled Veteran-owned small businesses should submit their capability statements (no more than 10 pages in length) to Gayle R. Sunde, Contracting Officer, Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, Division of Contracts Management, 540 Gaither Rd, Rockville, Maryland 20850, no later than 12:00 noon prevailing local time, on November 10, 2009. Capability statements should be tailored to this request and identify the source’s capabilities to complete this requirement, including information on key staff experience and a description of corporate experience with similar projects. Capability statements should be submitted in an original and two (2) copies. Hard copies only.
