Description
RECOVERY - THIS IS A PRESOLICITATION NOTICE. The U.S. Department of Interior, National Park Service, Alaska Region intends to issue solicitation number Q9815090644 on or about November 9, 2009, for work associated with sandblasting and repainting three vessels for the Glacier Bay National Park & Preserve, Gustavus, Alaska. The applicable NAICS code for this project is 336611, with a small business size standard of 1,000 employees. This requirement is reserved for small business concerns. Contractors are required to be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) government system prior to award to be eligible for a government contract - the link can be found at http://www.ccr.gov. We advise potential offerors to begin the registration process when they prepare their quotation to ensure the registration in the CCR database is complete and in-place should they be selected for award. In the event an offeror is not registered in CCR at the time the contracting officer is ready to award the contract, the contracting officer will proceed to the next eligible successful offeror registered in the CCR database. Refer to FAR 52.204-7, Central Contractor Registration, "If the Offeror does not become registered in the CCR database in the time prescribed by the Contracting Officer, the Contracting Officer will proceed to award to the next otherwise successful registered Offeror." GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Major features of the work include transportation of vessels from Hoonah, Alaska to contractor's place of performance, sandblasting and repainting of three sea-going vessels for Glacier Bay National Park & Preserve. A more detailed statement of work will be available as part of the solicitation package on or about November 9, 2009. This requirement will be solicited using the methods and procedures of Federal Acquisition Regulation Parts 12 and 13 (Acquisition of Commercial Items and Simplified Acquisition Procedures; respectively). This solicitation is also subject to the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) and will include applicable ARRA clauses. The solicitation falls under the Service Contract Act of 1965, as amended. The solicitation, statement of work and applicable wage determination will be posted, and available for download at the following websites, http://www.fbo.gov and http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about November 9, 2009.
