- Description
- The U.S. Coast Guard Surface Fleet Logistics Command intends to issue a commercial Request for Quotes (RFQ) to Small Businesses only. The NAICS code is 336611 and the small business size standard is less than 1,000 employees. The Coast Guard intends to conduct the procurement in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR Subpart 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The RFQ will be issued on or about November 13, 2009. The RFQ will be issued via the Federal Business Opportunity (FEDBIZOPPS) web page at www.fbo.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation and specification will not be issued. A CD-ROM containing all applicable drawings will be sent via U.S. mail if requested. Submit requests far enough in advance to allow sufficient time for processing. Submit requests to Ms. Kathryn Stark at Kathryn.e.stark@uscg.mil. The acquisition is for DRYDOCK REPAIRS to the USCGC CHANDELEUR (WPB-1319), a 110 FOOT B Class Patrol Boat. The home pier of the vessel is located at 100 MacArthur Causeway, Miami Beach, FL 33139. The performance period is forty-two (42) calendar days and is expected to begin on or about 08 FEBRUARY 2010 and end on or about 22 MARCH 2010. There is a geographical restriction associated with this availability. The vessel is restricted to traveling to a facility located within 576 nautical miles from the vessels homeport in Miami Beach, Florida Travel distances within the restriction allow for two days (48 hrs) of underway transit each way.
