- The U.S. Army, Army Contracting Command (ACC) Joint Munitions and Lethality(JM&L) Contracting Center, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000, on behalf of the Benet Laboratories, Watervliet Arsenal, Watervliet, NY 12189-4000 is conducting market research to locate companies capable of providing the U.S. Government with Cladding/Explosive Bonding Services capability with the following requirements: Provide explosive bonding support to the Governments medium and large calibercannon programs for the purpose of cladding high temperature refractory metals on to the inside on gun-tubes. Capabilities are required to be able to explosively clad/weld/bond tantalum-10% tungsten (Ta-10W) and Stellite onto the inside of 25mm, 30mm and 40mm gun barrels. Companies are invited to indicate their interests and capabilities byproviding specifications, brochures, information pertaining to experience onprevious projects, specific work previously performed or being performed, and any other specific and pertinent information as it pertains to this particular area or procurement that would enhance our evaluation of the information submitted. All information is to be submitted via email at no cost or obligation to the Government; information provided will not be returned. Responses shall also indicate the size of the business entity; large or small IAW FAR 19.102, and a copy of the most recent ORCA certifications. Please provide the name of your company, address, POC, phone/fax number and email address. TELEPHONE INQUIRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. The Government will accept written questions by email. Interested companies are encouraged to submit their capabilities/qualifications data no LATER than November 18, 2009.This is a Sources Sought/Market Survey Announcement and submission will beused for informational and planning purposes only. This notice does not constitute a formal Request for Proposal (RFP)/Request for Quote (RFQ), nor is the Government obligated to issue and RFP/RFQ. In addition, the Government does not intend to pay for any information provided under this notice.
