Description
RECOVERYPER FAR 5.7 THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY; THEREFORE FAR 5.203 DOES NOT APPLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTOR UNDER W91278-08-D-0053, ANAMAR ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTING, INC. The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers plans to award a task order to Anamar Environmental Consulting, Inc. to conduct sediment testing to establish baseline conditions in Okatibbee Lake. Using Recovery Act Funding, the Mobile District Corps of Engineers intends to issue a task order to contract number W91278-08-D-0053, a sole source 8a Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract, which was awarded to provide a full range of environmental and related services to customers of the U. S. Army, Corps of Engineers. This work is within the scope of the original contract. Contract clauses required for projects involving Recovery Act funds have been incorporated into the existing contract. The existing contract must be used for the following reasons: 1) The work to be performed is within the scope of the original contracts technical provisions. 2) The incumbent contractor has the management, technical, and administrative skills to efficiently and effectively accomplish this work at a reasonable cost. 3) This contract enables work to begin immediately. The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) contains specific acquisition requirements that must be met when using funds appropriated by the Act. Acquisitions must comply with FAR, and to the maximum extent practicable, be awarded under competitive procedures as fixed-price (FP) contracts.
