Description
The US Army is conducting a briefing to Industry in support of the anticipated Ground Combat Vehicle (GCV) Program. This event is scheduled at the Tank Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center (TARDEC) facility located on the TACOM Life Cycle Management Command (LCMC) Campus for November 23rd, 2009 and November 24th, 2009 with a separate, half -day classified session on the afternoon of the 24th. This announcement is issued solely for information and program planning purposes. Attendance at GCV Industry Day is voluntary and is not required to submit a proposal to any subsequent solicitation for the GCV program. This announcement does not constitute a request for proposal or a proposal abstract. Costs incurred by firms to participate in this Industry Day will not be reimbursed by the Government. PROGRAM DESCRIPTION AND OBJECTIVE: The GCV program is a development program addressing the Army's need to develop a next generation combat vehicle. A solicitation will not be released prior to this Industry Day nor will a draft solicitation be presented at this event but a detailed look at the GCV requirement will be presented. INDUSTRY DAY GOALS: The goal of this meeting is to provide detailed information about the GCV requirement and other pertinent, detailed information regarding the requirement. GENERAL REGISTRATION INFORMATION: There will be classified and non-classified material presented. Pre-registration is required for Industry Day attendance. Participants must register prior to November 12th 2009 utilizing the form located at http://contracting.tacom.army.mil/majorsys/gcv/gcv.htm POC for registration is listed further below. You must register for each session (non-classified/classified) you are planning to attend. Participation in the classified session is contingent on attendance at the non-classified session and requires separate registration. Contractors are advised that any unauthorized export of GCV information is subject to all export control laws including the Arms Export Control Act (22 USC 2751, et seq), Export Administration Act of 1979, as amended (50 USC 2401, et seq) and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITARS). NON-CLASSIFIED SESSION: Non-classified sessions will be limited to the Department of Defense and U.S. DoD contractors' administrative or operational use. NOTE: There is a separate registration for the non-classified session. CLASSIFIED SESSION: The classified session will require attendees to have a minimum of a SECRET security clearance, be registered for the non-classified session and must submit a visitor request through Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS). If you intend on participating in the classified session you must identify that desire on your registration form and you must have your security manager submit your JPAS visitor request using SMO code W6J101. Failure to follow these instructions may result in your not being able to attend the classified sessions. ATTENDANCE LIMITATION: This is a technical briefing that will contain a large amount of engineering specific information. It is recommended that this be taken into account when selecting who to register. Due to space constraints, firms are limited to ONE participant per CAGE code. You may request one additional person to be waitlisted and if additional seats are available after primary registration has closed these additional registration requests will reviewed. Registration is on a first come first serve basis. All registrations will be catalogued in the order they were received. Wait listed participants will be notified of space availability by 18 Nov. CONFIRMATION TO ATTEND THIS EVENT WILL BE PROVIDED VIA ELECTRONIC MAIL TO THOSE THAT HAVE REGISTERED ON OR ABOUT 13 NOVEMBER 2009. Access to TACOM LCMC is restricted. All attendees will be parking off site and will be shuttled onto TACOM LCMC on both days. Confirmation of registration will be held at the parking site. The map to the parking site is attached to this announcement. Registration will be from 0700-0800 at the parking site on both the 23rd and 24th of November. You will not be allowed onto the TACOM LCMC campus without a GCV contractor identification badge, regardless of whether you already possess a valid TACOM identification badge. LUNCH: The lunch selection menu is will be included on the registration form. The selection for each attendee must be made at the time of registration. Payment of $20 must be made, in US currency (cash only), at the initial registration on 23 Nov and includes lunch and beverages for one person on both days. A receipt for this fee will be provided. There will be no shuttles to the vehicle parking site during lunch. You must stay on the TACOM LCMC campus due to security and registration restrictions.
