- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT to conduct market research for determinations required by various Federal Acquisition Regulations. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized and posted at www.fbo.gov. The determination for this acquisition lies solely with the government based on this market research and the information available to the government from other sources. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Alaska District, is conducting this market research to ascertain if there are small businesses which have the capability to construct a standard-design three-company headquarters fire station at Fort Greely, AK using sealed bidding procedures on or about 25 Aug 2010. All interested small businesses are encouraged to respond to this announcement no later than November 23, 2009, 4:30 PM AST, by registering as an interest vendor and submitting all requested documentation listed below to: US Army Corps of Engineers, Alaska District, ATTN: CEPOA-CT-C/M(Coyner), PO Box 6898, Elmendorf AFB, AK 99506-0898 or via email, susan.coyner@us.army.mil. Interested parties should submit a capabilities package demonstrating the ability to perform work listed above. Packages should include the following information: (1) Business name and address, (2) a positive statement of your intention to submit an offer for this requirement as a prime contractor, and (3) demonstration of the firm's experience within the past five years, by listing the actual construction projects completed, provide the following: a brief description of the work performed, project title, dollar amount and which functional areas were the responsibility of sub contractors, customer's contact name and phone number for a customer knowledgeable of the work completed. Also, include attachments cataloging the firm's assets, personnel resources and financial resources that demonstrate the firm's responsibility and capability to perform the required work. Responsible sources having relevant experience and the capabilities to perform the work will be considered. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220, Building and Institutional Construction, and the related small business size standard is $33.5 million. The estimated dollar magnitude of this project is anticipated to be between $10,000,000.00 and $25,000,000.00. It is anticipated that the construction duration will be approximately 640 days. Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA), as required by FAR 4.1102 and 4.1201, will apply to this procurement. Prospective contractors must be registered prior to award. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award.
