Description

RECOVERY - Rehab Hackley Tract Fence, Arapahoe National Wildlife Refuge, FFS Project Number R6GE, TAS::14 1610::TAS THIS CONTRACTING ACTION IS BEING OFFERED UNDER THE AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT (ARRA). TAS: 14 0910 1610 THIS CONTRACTING ACTION IS OFFERED FULL AND OPEN. WORK UNDER THIS CONTRACT:This project includes providing all labor, equipment, and materials to rehabilitate refuge fences in accordance with attached specifications, drawings, and bid schedule. 1. Project includes removal and replacement of approximately 11 miles of fenceconsisting of interior and boundary fencewith wire and metal gates. 2. The existing fence materials removed shall be disposed of at an off-site approved disposal area. It is the winning bidder's responsibility to locate this disposal site. JOB CONDITIONSThe proposed fence line traverses terrain that may be wet, sandy or uneven. There are a number of small drainages, rises and falls, and rocky or compacted soils. LOCATION AND INSPECTION OF SITEA. The site for fence rehabilitation is at the Arapaho National Wildlife Refuge, approximately 10 miles south of Walden, Colorado. Prospective offerors may inspect the site by contacting the Project Leader at Arapaho National Wildlife Refuge, 953 Jackson County Rd. 32, Walden, CO., 80480-0457. Telephone number (970) 723-8202.B. Contractors are urged to visit the work sites and become familiar with existing conditions. Failure of the Contractor to ascertain the nature, location, and conditions which affect the work will not relieve him from the responsibility for successfully performing the work without additional expense to the Government. GENERAL INFORMATION The estimated magnitude of construction is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. The total performance period is 45 calendar days from Notice to Proceed. This acquisition is Full and Open. The NAICS code is 238990, All Other Specialty Trade Contractors, and the size standard is $14 Million. The solicitation package is anticipated to be available electronically on/or about November 24, 2009 with an anticipated closing date of January 8, 2010. Copies of the Request for Proposal, specifications and drawings can be obtained at http://www.fedbizopps.gov once available for issuance.
