- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY FOR PURPOSES OF CONDUCTING MARKET RESEARCH. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. REQUEST FOR A SOLICITATION WILL NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Center for Acquisition Innovation (CAI) is seeking information from vendors to provide research and support services to conduct a longitudinal, follow up study of Vietnam Veterans who initially participated in the National Vietnam Veterans Readjustment Study (1989). This effort responds to the Veterans Benefits and Health Care Improvement Act of 2000 (Engrossed Amendment as Agreed to by Senate, Section 212 of Public Law 106-419 on the Study of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) in Vietnam Veterans. This initiative is to oversee a well-executed, properly managed project to complete the National Vietnam Veterans Longitudinal Study that will result in a credible, comprehensive report on the long-term effects of Vietnam military service, including combat-related PTSD. Interested vendors may submit their capabilities and qualifications to provide the service identified via email to Henry.Fisheriii@va.gov no later than 2:00pm EST November 18, 2009. Vendors are asked to provide three past performance references for the capabilities identified. Include the Project title, Description of the project, Contract Number, Contract amount, Government Agency/ Organization and Point of Contact, and phone number/ email addresses. Do you hold a GSA Contract? If so, please identify Schedule and Contract number.
