- This project is for the construction of a new one-lane roadway bridge over the North Fork Kentucky River at approximately river mile 65.1. The bridge is to be located on Hwy. 1110 crossing over to Copeland Road near Haddix, in Breathitt County, Kentucky. The bridge is a three-span, pre-stressed concrete girder bridge with an approximate 7,018 sq. ft. concrete deck. Total width of the bridge is 22-feet which includes a 15-foot roadway, a 4-foot wide sidewalk on one side, and New Jersey barriers along each side. Substructure consists of one pile cap-type abutment on drilled shafts, the other a wall abutment on HP pilings. The two piers are wall-type on spread footings. Total length of the bridge is approximately 319-feet, plus approaches. This is a Sealed Bid Procurement and is UNRESTRICTED. The estimated cost range for this project is $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 236220, with a size standard of $33.5M. The base construction contract duration is approximately 240 days. The approximate issue date is 24 November 2009 and approximate closing date is 07 January 2009, 2:00PM Eastern Time. This is a Full and Open Procurement; however, in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation 19.307(b), this project requires the HUBZone 10% price evaluation preference.
