Description

RECOVERYThis is a pre-solicitation notice for a contractor to provide all labor, tools, equipment, transportation, materials, and supervision required to complete the designated work. The George Washington Memorial Parkway (GWMP), McLean, Virginia, a division of the National Park Service, Department of the Interior, is seeking to rehabilitate a designated section of the median road shoulder along the parkway. This work involves correcting the subsoil along soft shoulder sites by removing the existing soils and replacing them with stronger load-supporting material. Eroded areas shall be repaired by applying stabilized shoulder mix. Damaged and rutted areas shall be re-graded as needed. Areas where there is soil build up will require lowering the shoulder and re-grading and filling in order to re-establish the turf shoulder. All soil stabilization work shall be followed by seeding and fertilizing the affected areas. The project consists of a designated roadway median north Memorial Avenue Bridge, Washington DC. The project performance period is 60 days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The NAICS code is 561730. The small business standard size is $7.0M. This project is being solicited and awarded in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstrations Program, Public Law 100-656. Accordingly, it is open to both small and large businesses. Offer evaluation and award decisions will be made on a "Best Value" basis per evaluation factors identified in the Statement of Work and Section "M" of the solicitation provisions. The Solicitation with Specifications, Map, Drawings, and Wage Rates will be posted to the website http://www.fedbizzopps.gov and http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about November 27, 2009. No hard copies of the Solicitation package will be mailed or issued. To receive the Solicitation package, one must download it from http://ideasec.nbc.gov.
