- Synopsis: The VA Medical Center, 830 Chalkstone Avenue, Providence, RI is seeking a contractor to provide all equipment, labor, materials, apparatus, tools, transportation, supervision, permits and disposal necessary to perform preventive maintenance and emergency service on approximately 57 Stryker Model FL20E Hospital beds and inclusion of new additional beds not from the same manufacturer as the existing beds. The requirement includes the inspection and repair as required but not be limited to the following list of tasks: fasteners secure/inspect shoulder braces/inspect brakes/inspect axial steer mechanism/inspect side rails/inspect footboard functions/calibrate scale system/inspect nurse call function/inspect fowler and knee gatch/inspect auxiliary outlet/inspect night light/inspect boards and side rails/inspect head bumpers/check mattress cover/check power cord and cables/check all electrical connections and the ground/inspect castors/lubricate as required/measure the current leakage. Contractor shall provide a list of parts not covered by preventive maintenance. Contractor shall provide a list of all parts with cost mark-up. Contractor will be required to provide 24/7-days response to emergency hospital bed problems with-in a required 2-hour timeframe. Contractor will provide a straight hourly rate an overtime hourly rate for emergency call-ins. Preventive Maintenance will be scheduled quarterly: February, May, August & November. The facility will make 25% beds available for each quarterly maintenance visit. This is a market survey for informational and planning purposes only. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION AND DOES NOT OBLIGATE THE GOVERNMENT TO ISSUE A SOLICITATION. Please be advised that the Government will not pay for any information submitted under this announcement. This announcement constitutes an official Request for Information (RFI) as defined by FAR 15.201(e). There is no solicitation at this time and responses received will be used to determine the set aside for this procurement. The VA is planning to solicit a contract for a Base Year, with two (2) one (1) year options at the discretion of the VA Medical Center. The NAICS Code is 811219 and the size standard is $7.0 Million.
