Description

This procurement will be funded under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), Public Law 111-5 (February 17, 2009). THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE AND THE SOLICITATION WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD ON NOVEMBER 27, 2009. ALL PROPOSALS ARE DUE BY 3:00 PM EST DECEMBER 15, 2009. Delivery address will be notated within the solicitation. NO OTHER INFORMATION WILL BE AVAILABLE BEFORE THE SOLICITATION IS POSTED. The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), Job Corps intends to procure design-build services for various improvements in numerous existing buildings at the Golconda Civilian Conservation Center located in Golconda, Illinois. The work will include, but not limited to, the replacement and repair of HVAC systems in Buildings 5, 6, 8, 14, 15, 22, and 24 as well as improvement of the Sports Field's drainage system. The extent of work will be described further in Part IV of the scope of work. The proposed method of procurement will be HUBZone Competition. The period of performance will begin within 14 calendar days from receipt of Notice to Proceed (NTP) and shall be completed within approximately 301 calendar days from receipt of NTP. Substantial completion shall be within 336 calendar days from NTP. The estimated cost range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. The Small Business Size Standard is $33.5 Million.
