- The Federal Aviation Administration seeks to purchase Fiber Optic Equipment for the Reno Nevada SSC. Please see the attached list of Items, Part Numbers, Quantities and Item Descriptions to be purchased. This is a SIR requesting pricing from fiber optic vendors. The pricing submitted in response to this SIR will constitute a binding contract with the successful vendor upon its acceptance by the Federal Aviation Administration. Firm prices are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This SIR document, as well as the incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Management System (AMS) Clauses and Prescriptions. NAICS 334290- Other Communication Equipment Manufacturing applies. Contractors may register at: www.ccr.gov 5.Pricing proposals must be submitted to the FAA no later than Close of Business, November 23, 2009. 6.Basis for Award: Award will be made to the Contractor with the best price, delivery schedule and an acceptable past performance reference history. 7.The Clauses below are fully incorporated into this SIR. 8.Indicate the brand name and/or make of each item. Include a picture of each item from your company catalog. If quoting other than the item number specified, include the manufacturer's name, a product description, model number and a brief explanation as to how this product will better serve the FAA's requirements as compared to the requested item. 9.Bid each item separately. Prices must be stated in units specified on the itemized cost sheet. Prices bid shall not include sales or use taxes. 10.Time of delivery is a part of the consideration and must be stated in definite terms and adhered to. If time varies on different items, bidder shall so state in the column provided opposite the item. Unless otherwise noted, "days for delivery" or "days from receipt of order" mean calendar days. All charges, e.g., packing and installation, must be included in the bid. No charges after the award will be allowed unless specified in the bid.
