- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Solicitation number N00167-10-T-0011 applies and is hereby issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and proposals are being requested.This is a sole-source requirement. Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD) intends to negotiate a non-competitive award with Microwave Power Inc., 3350 Scott Blvd, Santa Clara, CA 95054, for (1) Microwave Power Model #L0818-46-T381 amplifier. The amplifier is needed as backup for the L0818-46-T381 unit currently installed in the NSWCCD radar cross section measurement system which is used for test and evaluation. In the event of equipment failure or need for repair, the new unit will serve as a direct drop-in replacement to allow a test in progress to continue with minimum interruption. Reducing lost man-hour productivity, test facility and equipment costs, and overall cost to the Government. Microwave Power is the original equipment manufacturer. This notice of intent IS NOT a request for competitive proposals or quotes.However, all proposals or quotes received no later than the due date of this announcement will be considered by the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals or quotes. All responsible sources may submit a quote that will be considered by the Agency. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334220 - size standard is 750 employees.A firm-fixed price contract is anticipated following Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
