This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Nerve Graft, a human allograft nerve, is for the repair, replacement and reconstruction of damaged peripheral nerves. It is minimally processed to preserve the three dimensional structure of the nerve and the neurotropic support, laminin. 2. Nerve Graft is pliable and handles similar to an autograft. 3. Nerve Graft is a human tissue for transplantation. 4. The Nerve Graft is used for the repair, replacement, or reconstruction of damaged peripheral nerves. 5. Nerve Grafts are minimally processed to preserve the three dimensional structure of the nerve basal lamina and the inherent growth promoters that lie within. The Nerve Graft process decellularizes allograft human nerve to clear cells, cellular debris, and axons-leaving a sterile scaffold of nerve basal lamina which may serve to guide a patients regenerating axons. 6. Immunosuppression is not required because the Nerve Graft process clears the cellular debris. 7. Nerve Grafts: 1) retain the architecture of nerve; 2) are predegenerated (clear of cellular debris); 3) are cleared of inhibitors, and 4) retain growth promoters. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible contractor whose quote, conforming to the solicitation, is Lowest Priced, Technically Acceptable (LPTA).
