Description
The United States Marshals Service (USMS) intends to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) DJMS-10-R-0014 for the National Physical Security Program providing physical security equipment and services to all Federal Court facilities in the United States, as well as Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands. The Contractor must provide appropriate resources in order to engineer, install, service and monitor security systems and equipment within court buildings. Some of the responsibilities of the Contractor include the installation, service and maintenance of the following types of equipment: cameras, monitors, intercoms, conduit, cabling, networking infrastructure and technology, locking devices, alarms, security consoles, Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) recording systems, card readers and duress alarms for staff. These system installations will generally require both local and Central Station Monitoring capabilities. The Contractor personnel provided must have the appropriate background clearance, level of technical expertise and the quality of managerial oversight in order to coordinate installation and maintenance of time critical projects for the USMS. The Contractor shall have a procedure for inspection and testing of equipment installation and maintenance work completed by the Contractor’s technician. The resulting Contract will be an Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) type Contract with multiple cost structures (i.e. Firm-Fixed, Labor Hour, Time & Material, etc.) with a One-year Base Period and Four, One-year Options. This procurement is being issued under Full and Open Competition. All Options will be evaluated for Award purposes. This is not a request for proposals and no solicitation is available. All responsible sources may submit a proposal to be considered by the Agency. The anticipated issue date for the Solicitation is on or about December 1, 2009. Services are to commence on or about June 1, 2010. The Solicitation will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration’s Federal Business Opportunities website:http://www.fedbizopps.gov. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments will be distributed solely through the web site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the web site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition.
