Description

RECOVERY – Contractor to provide for air handler improvements at the Mescalero Indian Hospital, Mescalero, New Mexico. THIS PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY AND REQUIRED BECAUSE FUNDING PROVIDED UNDER THE AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT OF 2009 WILL BE USED FOR THIS EFFORT. NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENT WILL BE ISSUED TO THE PUBLIC. THIS REQUIREMENT WILL BE AWARDED BY ISSUANCE OF A DELIVERY ORDER UNDER AN EXISTING MALOY CONSTRUCTION COMPANY CONTRACT. The project scope shall consist of the installation of variable speed drives for the air handlers which are currently single speed units of low efficiency. The new drives will be connected to the DDC building management system that will optimize energy usage while providing a comfortable indoor environment. Significant energy savings will be realized by upgrading the drives and controls. The magnitude on this construction requirement is between $100,000 and $350,000. This requirement is for a proposal leading to an issuance of a delivery order under a competitively awarded IDIQ for the Albuquerque Area Indian Health Service. The contractor is Maloy Construction Co. in Albuquerque, NM.
