Description
Recovery Act - Solicitation No. VA-245-10-RA0026 (replaces canceled Solicitation VA-245-10-RA-0026). The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a construction contractor that shall completely prepare site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures, and furnish labor and materials and perform work for the Veterans Administration Medical Center, 50 Irving Street, Washington, DC, Pharmacy Renovation project as required by drawings and specifications. Project # 688-09-15. Competition for this procurement is 100% Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business. The estimated construction cost range is $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00. The Invitation for Bid (IFB) solicitation will be issued on or about November 25, 2009. The firm must be General Construction firm approved under NAICS: 236220, size standard: $33.5 million. The offer shall obtain any and all necessary licenses or permits required to perform this work in Washington, DC. Prospective contractors must be registered and current in the following websites: http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov, http://www.ccr.gov, and http://www.orca.bpn.gov to be eligible for award. Technical and Cost will be accepted from only responsible and responsive contractors. The project duration expected to be 200 days for the date of receipt of the notice to proceed. Prospective contractors may acquire solicitation documents, which are only available in.pdf electronic format by registering and downloading plans and specifications for the FedBizOpps website www.fbo.gov. Solicitation documents will be available on or about Wednesday, November 25, 2009. All interested contractors must ensure that their firms have the ability to provide 100% Performance and Payment Bonds. This procurement is subject to the availability of funds.
