Description

This requirment is to be issued for use by the Radiology & imaging Sciences Department at the National Institutes of Health. The Stat Sensor screening instrument for serum and creatinine and eGFR will enable the Radiology department to determine if a patient able to receive intraveneous contrast within 30 seconds. This will greatly impact the reduction in wait time for multiple diagnostic studies scheduled. This product is is required to allow for quick screening of patients with a small fingerstick capillary blood measurement producing results within 30 seconds. This test is for screening purposes only and will not be considered as a diagnostic test. Presently this type of point care testing is unique from other hand held devices in that it only tests creatinine and calculates eGFR. Other devices of this type require a venous/arterial specimen, longer wait time for results, or produce multiple test results that are not useful in this setting. The known manufacture for this product is NovaBiomedical, Waltham,MA 1/ 45283 Stat sensor meter with bar code reader (PN-44052) and one meter docking station Quantity/3 2/SDtat Sensor battery Quantity 1
