Description
THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. Information received will be used for market research purposes only. The Program Manager, Light Armored Vehicles is seeking information on commercial sources for a Battery Health Monitor (BHM) system for its fleet of LAVs. The following compliance and performance characteristics of the BHM are required: a) Ability to monitor the voltages, current, temperature, state of health and state of charge of lead-acid batteries. The system must be compatible with the LAV Hawker Armasafe batteries. b) Ability to monitor up to 4 (four) batteries simultaneously. c) Ability to retrofit into existing ground vehicle platforms and multi-battery power systems. d) Complies with EPLS required vehicle data networking infrastructure (SAE J1939) e) Compatible networking capabilities as part of EPLS and/or other platform upgrade efforts. f) On-board computer independent for stand-alone operation g) Built-in data display and interface panel. h) System designed to meet/exceed demanding combat operational environment. i) Interoperable with heavy diesel ground vehicle networks. Request any interested party provide information by 18 DEC 09. No solicitation is currently available. All firms responding to this sources sought notice are advised that their response is not a request to be considered for a contract award. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced later in FedBizOpps and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately.
