- Sources Sought/Market Survey AMENDMENT TO SYNOPSIS: This is a NEW requirement to acquire the capability to perform a broad range of non-personal Research and Development (R&D) services, analyses, studies, and engineering to facilitate the customization and application of Virtual Environment (VE) technologies as identified in this synopsis. The purpose of this Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) Contract is to support R&D related to VE Technology efforts for Program Directorates PDS, PDA, 46T and 4.6. Responses to the Sources Sought Notice issued on 15 July 2009 (which required potential offerors to provide their capabilities and experience and is attached for informational purposes only) formed the basis for setting aside this effort exclusively to Small Business Concerns. Since the specific requirements are unknown the award of an ID/IQ contract will allow task orders will be issued as requirements, including place and period of performance, and funding materialize. The RFP when issued will contain sample tasks representative of the stated research areas. No draft documents will be posted at this time since all known information is included in this synopsis. Accordingly, there will be no Industry Day scheduled prior to the release of the RFP. It is anticipated that the final RFP will be issued on or about 18 December 2009 and will remain open until 5 February 2010 to allow ample time to establish a team of highly qualified contractors possessing excellent business practices and technical capabilities in order to increase responsiveness and flexibility in meeting customer needs. All questions/comments relative to this synopsis submitted to Contract Specialist, Metrissianne D. Rivera via email (metrissianne.rivera@navy.mil) will be taken into consideration in developing the final RFP for the benefit of all potential offerors, individual responses will not be provided.
