Description
Scope of Work: Project # 6204A-08-112 This notice is for project No. 620A4-08-112, HVAC System Upgrade, Castle Point, NY 12511 This shall be a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set-Aside (SDVOSB). As a result all SDVOSBs may submit a bid, which shall be considered by the agency. This project is classified under NAICS Code 238220, and has a size standard of $14.0 Million. The cost estimate range for this project is $500,000 and $1,000,000. The work for this requirement consists of, but is not limited to: The contractor will furnish all materials, equipment, supervision, and personnel necessary to complete project. ITEM 1 - Base Bid - The contractor will furnish all materials, equipment, supervision, and personnel necessary to accomplish the job for removal and installation of the new HVAC systems and associated components on the new concrete pads as shown on the drawings and perform work specified herein and comply with VA specifications and VA regulations, procedures and conditions for work at the medical center and any applicable codes as per requirements of all governing agencies. Work shall include selective demolition and modifications of existing walls, ceilings, ductwork, registers, etc. debris disposal, all new work: ducts, ceiling systems, wall finishing, fire sprinkler and alarm work, electrical work, operational and final system testing and balancing and other related and ancillary work. Contractor will be responsible to coordinate and schedule work to minimize to short duration and shall be expected to plan work typically during duty hours of the hospital other than utility ties ins during off duty hours.. Construction Phasing will be required to ensure that HVAC system equipment, associated components; fabricated ductwork is stored on site at the time of shutdown of the SPD department operations and timely manner to complete construction for re-activation of operations. Maintain all access to and egress from the buildings at all times for facilitys fire protection requirements and to meet the requirements of regulatory codes, laws, etc. Completion Time of 280 Calendar Days from Notice to Proceed. All other details and information shall be contained in the solicitation which shall be posted on www.fedbizopps.gov. The solicitation will be released on or around December 17, 2009. The bid submittal address, date and time will be included in the solicitation. This project requires bonding and all bid submissions shall be in hardcopies; faxed or e-mailed bids will not be accepted. All bidders shall be registered in www.ccr.gov, www.vetbiz.gov, and www.orca.bpn.gov. End of Description
