Description
The Department of Veteran Affairs, Veteran Health Administration in Rome, NY intends to procure Services and Support for an existing Parata Pharmacy Computer System. It has been determined that the support/service is not optional and Parata Systems is the only vendor that can meet the requirement. Parata is the sole manufacturer and support provider for maintenance support for this system. The system is a computer automation system and used in the pharmacy but it is not a medical system it is a computer and software solution. This contract will consist of one base year and three options years. The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial applies to this acquisition. According to FAR 52.212-2 the Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors such as technical capability, delivery, and past performance will be considered. According to FAR any offers should also include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items. (CCR, ORCA) The clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions- Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The clause at 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders - Commercial Items, (APR 2009) (Deviation) applies to this acquisition. All offers should be submitted by email to Sonja.Stroud@va.gov, no later than 3:00 pm EST Monday November 23, 2009. Any responsible sources may submit a bid/proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by this agency.
