- This will be a firm fixed price requirements type contract. The Contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, equipment, and materials necessary to perform tree pruning, limb, tree, stump, brush and insect pest removal, and emergency tree services primarily in the Industrial Areas, but not limited to the Industrial Areas at Fort Shafter, Tripler Army Medical Center, Schofield Barracks, Wheeler Army Airfield, Helemano Military Reservation, Kipapa Army Storage Area, Pililaau Army Recreation Center and also prune single-trunk palm and coconut trees on U.S. Army Installations on the Island of Oahu, Hawaii. Services shall be performed in accordance with the American National Standard for Tree Care Operations-Tree, Shrub and Other Woody Plant Maintenance Standard Practices, and shall comply with all local, state, and Federal regulations.The issue date for this solicitation is estimated to be on or about 14 December 2009. Response date above is estimated. Actual proposal due date will be specified in the solicitation and may be earlier or later than 29 December 2009. The period of performance is 1 Feb 2010 31 January 2011 with 2 prepriced 6-month option periods. This procurement is a 100% set-aside for small, disadvantaged businesses. A firm is considered to be a small business if its average annual gross receipts for the past three years do not exceed $7.0 million. A firm is considered to be disadvantaged if this claim is certified by the Small Business Administration. Applicable NAICS is 561730, Landscaping Services. This is a recurring requirement. Services are currently performed under two separate contracts. Current contractor for both contract is Glads Landscaping & Tree Trimming, 1932 Puowaina Drive, Honolulu, HI 96813-1733. One contract is a base with one option year, the other is a base with four option years. Total combined estimated contract price is $2.0 mil.
