- The proposed contract action is for commercial items, which the Naval Medical Center San Diego intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested contractors/persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of interest is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received by 23 November 2009, 06:00AM, Pacific Standard Time, will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial items contract, prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes only solicitation, proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number, N00259-10-T-0061 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 339115, Size: 500. This is an unrestricted procurement. Quotations are due on or before 23 November 2009, 06:00 AM. Pacific Standard Time to be considered responsive. CLIN 0001 Patient Interface (P120) Disposables IFLAP Procedure P/N 81030, P/N 590023-003 Laser S/N 0105-20092 QTY 300 PK $__________________ Under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), sole source justification is based on Advanced Medical Optics (AMO), having a proprietary rights for supplies, and support the devices currently owned by the Government. These proprietary rights preclude other vendors from guaranteeing the supply functionality in support of the AMO Laser System. Contractor must be registered to the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) prior to award.
