Description
RECOVERY ACT PROJECT: THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES (SDVOSB). This procurement is being funded via the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA). The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) -West Palm Beach Florida intends to award a single, firm fixed-price contract for the INSTALLATION OF HURRICANE SHUTTERS ONTO BUILDING 10, PROJECT NO. 548-09-105. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, management, supervision and all other items and services necessary to perform the installation of manual roll-down hurricane shutters for (19) nineteen windows on building 10 per specification and drawings. Windows are approximately (4) four feet wide by (4) four feet high on a single story building. Contract to field verify actual dimensions of each window. Shutters are to meet Dade County Hurricane Standards as well as the standards set forth in the drawings and specifications. Work to be performed per the contract requirements, specification and drawings. Shutters are to be factory painted white. On-site painting to consist of only touch-up painting. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 238190 and the Small Business size standard is $14 million. Cost range is $25,000-$100,000. The Government intends to award a firm fixed price contract in accordance with all terms, conditions, provisions, specifications, drawings and schedules of the solicitation, subject to the Availability of Funds. The solicitation will be issue on or about December 7, 2009. A ONE-TIME organized site visit (not mandatory) will be held at later date. NO TELEPHONE REQUESTS WILL BE ACCEPTED. THIS SOLICITATION IS A TOTAL SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE. PROPOSALS WILL ONLY BE CONSIDERED FROM SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES in accordance with Public Law 109-461. All respondents are required to be registered with VetBiz at http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov; Central Contractor Registration www.CCR.gov ; Online Representations and Certifications Application at http://orca.bpn.gov and Vets 100 at https://vets100.vets.dol.gov/.
