Description

RECOVERY - Description - This contract requires replacement of already installed older flexible netting that may need replacement of the flexible netting or rotted bamboo sticks that support the plastic flexible netting. Flexible netting maintenance involves weaving bamboo through the flexible netting plastic webbing twice and then placing the flexible netting over a seedling and pounding the bamboo into the ground 4” with a piece of slash or other hammer device. Flexible netting removed from a dead seedling and not reused in the same unit shall be carried down to the nearest drivable road and stacked in a pile for pickup by the Forest Service at a later time. Work is on uneven ground, slippery slash and on steep slopes where the footing is not the best, and during all types of adverse weather conditions.
