Description
The VA Gulf Coast Veterans Healthcare System has a requirement for On-Site Document Shredding services within its area of responsibility. Services will be required at the main medical center campus in Biloxi MS, as well as the Joint Ambulatory Care Center in Pensacola FL and outpatient clinics in Mobile AL, Eglin AFB, Fl and Panama City FL (2 facilities). The contractor will furnish on-site commercial secure collection and destruction of sensitive documents, in accordance with VA Directive 6371, Destruction of Temporary Paper Records. The anticipated period of performance for this requirement is March 1, 2010 through September 30, 2010, with 4 one-year option periods. Documents will be destroyed on government property in the presence of a government employee authorized to witness document destruction. The contractor will provide approximately 200 lockable consoles for collection and storage of materials in need of destruction. Contractor supplied equipment must be capable of producing cross cut shred particles no larger than 1mm by 5mm, or pulverizing/disintegrating paper material using a 3/32 inch security screen. The applicable NAICS code for this anticipated procurement is 561990 and the small business size standard is $7 Million. This procurement is 100% set aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business. Offers will be accepted only from service-disabled Veteran-owned small business concerns, as defined in subpart 19.14 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation. To be eligible for award of a contract, vendors must be actively registered in the VetBiz registry and Central Contractor registration (CCR) database. No further documents are available at this time. The anticipated release date of the solicitation is on or about December 15, 2009.
