Description
RECOVERY - PER FAR 5.7 THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY; THEREFORE FAR 5.203 DOES NOT APPLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY WAS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTOR(S) UNDER THE CURRENT CONTRACT NUMBER(S): GREAT LAKES DREDGE & DOCK COMPANY, LLC, W912EP-09-C-0031 Contract Award Amount equals $1,765,000.00 Recovery Funds, and $583,667.60 Non-Recovery Funds. This modification was executed as a Final Variation in Estimated Quantity for Line Items 0001AG and 0001AH under Alternate B, and as an Interim Variation in Estimated Quantity (VEQ) for Line Item 0001AJ under Alternate B. The authorized project provides for the deepening of the ship channel from Station 6+53.19 of Cut-50 to Station 65+00 of Terminal Channel to a depth of 40 feet and an expansion of the Chaseville Widener by 100 to 200 feet. To facilitate the authorized project, the Phase III deepening contract will dredge the Federal Channel to a required depth of 42 feet plus 2 feet of allowable overdepth. Total quantity to be dredged from the Federal Channel is approximately 1,508,000 cubic yards (cy). The Phase III contract will also include four (4) Local Service Facilities to be dredged to a required depth of 40 feet plus 2 feet of allowable overdepth. Total quantity to be dredged from the Local Service Facilities is approximately 130,000 cy. The contract will be divided into Base Bid and Option Bid Items as follows: (1) Base Bid: Federal Channel, Cut-50 Station 6+53.19 toCut-54 Station 3+50.17 (approximately 824,000 cy); (2) Option A: Federal Channel Cut-54 Station 3+50.17 to Terminal Channel Station 65+00 (approximately 684,000 cy); (3) Option B: Navy Fuel Depot Berth (approximately 50,000 cy); (4) Option C: NuStar Berth (approximately 16,000 cy); and (5) Option D: Chevron Berth (approximately 39,000 cy) and JPA Berth 8 (approximately 25,000 cy). All dredged material will be placed in the west end of Bartram Island (D/A-1 Cell A) which is located an average of 3.5 miles from the dredging location. Materials to be dredged consist of rock, consolidated materials consisting of dense compacted clay or silt, and unconsolidated materials consisting of sand, silty sand, silt and clay. Blasting will not be allowed under this contract.
