Description

The purpose of this amendment is to correct the Point of Contact phone number and the expected solicitation release date as follows: The United States Government intends to solicit proposals on a full and open competitive basis for the research and development of methodologies for the processing of magnesium alloys with a top down approach using equal channel angular extrusion that increases the strength of the alloy, but without a loss of ductility. The official solicitation is expected to be released on or around 12/1/2009. Interested parties are advised that there will be no paper copies of the solicitation issued. The solicitation will be made available on-line at http://www.fbo.gov/, and solicitation amendments, if any, will also be found at the same location. Offerors are responsible for checking the website to ensure they have latest information available concerning this acquisition. The anticipated contract type is Cost (no fee). All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered by this agency. Interested parties shall submit notification of their interest on or before 11/30/2009 12:00 PM EST by email at cayti.mckenna@arl.army.mil. No telephonic or facsimile submissions will be honored.
