- Description
- There does not exist a consistent and reliable method to detect and recover submerged oil. Most plans and responses use ad-hoc methods with limited specific development performed. This contract is the next step in developing an entire recovery system to find and recover oil on the sea floor in a variety of conditions. Previous development work has been done in almost all of the components although rarely used. This contract consist of Phase I to develop a proof of concept solution and Phase II a final design for a complete system. The design package developed will include a description of everything needed for the development and final prototype design of a system from the recovery of oil on the bottom to the separation of any water and/or silt or sand that may also be collected. This design package will include the concept of operations, specific developmental activities needed and proposed schedule and costs for prototype development.
