- The contractor shall provide full Architectural and Engineering Services as required to prepare complete contract drawings, specifications, technical reports, and cost estimates including services throughout the construction project for Project 614-313 "Modernize Operating Room Suite at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 1030 Jefferson Avenue, Memphis, TN 38104. Construction Cost Range is estimated between $5,000,000-$10,000,000. Consideration of firms are limited to firms within a 200 mile radius of the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Memphis, TN. This project will completely renovate approximately 20,000 gross square feet (GSF) of Building One, Third Floor Surgical Service space to increase the number of operating rooms from 7 to 10 and to provide the necessary support space for this increase. This will expand Building 1 by approximately 12,000 GSF to house mechanical and electrical support equipment to the roof. Some asbestos abatement will be require on pipe insulation joints. NAICS for this procurement is 541310. Contract award subject to the availability of FY 10 funds. A firm-fixed priced contract will be awarded. Firms desiring consideration shall submit two (2) copies of Standard Form [SF] 330 to Phyllis Holder, Contracting Officer no later than December 10, 2009 2:00pm(CST). A/E evaluation criteria will include (1) Professional Qualifications necessary for the performance of the required services; (2)Specialized experience and technical competence of the A/E Firm with similar projects; (3) Past Performance on contracts with government agencies; (4) Location of A/E Firms; (5) Experience and Roles of the key design personnel specifically on related projects; (6) Cost control and estimating effectiveness.THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL.
