- This solicitation is funded under the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act and will be subject to additional clauses associated with that Act. The National Park Service is seeking a contractor to remove and replace two generators located within Mammoth Cave National Park. Generator #1 is a 30KW Generator with automatic transfer switch (Kohler Model 30REOZJC - brand name or equal) and Generator #2 is a 18KW Generator Set (Kohler Model 18RES - brand name or equal). Contractor shall remove and properly dispose of old generators. All work will be performed under a single contract. Magnitude of this project is $25,000 to $100,000. Procurement is being conducted under full and open competition procedures under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The applicable NAICS code for this project is 335312 with a size standard of 1,000 employees. The solicitation will be available on or about November 11, 2009 with original quotes due on November 27, 2009 (see solicitation for exact date and time quotes are due). The solicitation will be issued as a Request For Quotation electonically on the Department of Interior's National Business Center (NBC) web site at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be made available. The entire solicitation including all pertinent attachments is available at the site. Bidders wishing to receive electronic notification of changes will need to register to receive notification of this specific solicitation at http://ideas.nbc.gov. This service is provided for convenience only and does not serve as a guarantee notification. Subscribers to this service are ultimately responsible for reviewing the http://ideasec.nbc.gov site for all information relevant to this solicitation. Plan holders are required to visit the website periodically to check for amendments and other changes to the contract documents. No other notifications will be sent. This procurement is subject to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Electronic and facsimilie bids will not be accepted. All equipment delivered, installed and work is to be completed within 30 days of the project start date.
