- THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTORS UNDER SDVOSB Set Aside. The Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center, Wilkes Barre PA has a requirement for Project Number 97-09; Install Doors for 3rd Floor Community Living Center (CLC) Corridor at the VA Medical Center. A Firm Fixed Price construction award is anticipated. The contractor shall provide all management, labor, materials, equipment, transportation and supervision to perform work to include general construction, mechanical and electrical work in accordance with the solicitation documents and drawings. Tasks associated with this project includes installation of 2 complete set of double wooden doors and one wooden door to include RFID hardware and programming to operate with the facility's existing patient tracking system Versus Technology Inc, construct new walls of the existing 3rd floor corridor area. Work will be performed in a functioning hospital environment, which will remain operational during the project duration. Performance period is 15 calendar days from receipt of the Notice to Proceed. The solicitation will be available seven (7) calendar days from the date of publication of this announcement. The Solicitation and Drawings will be available at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Amendments to the solicitation will be posted on this website. All offerors must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) data base, see http://www.ccr.gov and complete online Representations and Certifications at http://orca.bpn.gov along with Vets 100 at http://vets.dol.gov/vets100/. Offerors must be registered in VetBiz at http://www.vetbiz.gov/. All parties must obtain amendments to the solicitation through the web site. Hard copies will not be mailed. Interested parties must go to the http://www.fedbizopps.gov web site to be entered on the Mailing List and to obtain copies of the Mailing List. This acquisition will be conducted in accordance with FAR 15.101-2, Lowest Price Technically Acceptable Source Selection Process. This project is being solicited as a TOTAL 100% SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE (SDVOSB). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 238290. The magnitude of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. The solicitation package, amendments, and site visit minutes will be issued by way of the web only. All questions regarding this solicitation must be submitted in writing by email to Dianne.Smith2@va.gov. All responses to questions will be posted to the web site. All offerors are responsible for checking the web site for all notices, amendments, regarding this solicitation. The government will not be responsible for any notifications not sent or received by offerors regarding this solicitation. Solicitation Issue Date will be on or about November 16, 2009. A pre-bid conference/site visit will be conducted for this solicitation on November 20, 2009, at 1:00pm. The due date for proposals will be 1:00 P.M. on November 30, 2009.
