- Description
- The Saint Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation (Corporation) is soliciting proposals for abrasive saw cutting of existing reinforced concrete for upgrades to valve operating machinery in each of eight (8) culvert valve machinery recesses that are located inside the north and south cable galleries at Eisenhower and Snell Locks. A piece of concrete measuring approximately 7 ft high by 4 ft deep by 4 ft wide will be cut and removed from each of the eight (8) recesses. The work shall be completed in four (4) to eight (8) recesses between January 1, 2010 and March 15, 2010. Work in any of the eight (8) recesses which is not awarded for completion in 2010 shall be awarded after October 1, 2010 for completion between January 1, 2011 and March 15, 2011. The cost range of the project is between $25,000 and $100,000. The Corporation intends to award a firm fixed price contract. Award will be made to the offeror whose proposal represents the best value to the Corporation based on the evaluation factors listed in the Request for Quotation (RFQ). The RFQ package will be uploaded to FedBizOps on or about November 25, 2009 with a response date of December 28, 2009. This procurement is subject to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and is open to both small and large business. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the Saint Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation. Prospective offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be eligible for award. Please register with the CCR at www.ccr.gov.
