Description
NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) intends to issue a Request for Proposal(RFP) for the Propulsion Subsystem Propellant Tanks for the Magnetospheric Multiscale(MMS) Project. The scope of work for this procurement entails the Contractor providing the facilities,personnel, services, tools, equipment, and materials for the Propulsion SubsystemPropellant Tanks in accordance with the Propulsion Subsystem Propellant Tanks Statementof Work, Specification, and Deliverable Items List and Schedule, which will be providedwith issuance of the RFP.This procurement will be a full and open competition. NASA/GSFC anticipates awarding a Firm Fixed-Price type contract for this effort with an anticipated award date on or about February/March 2010.The Government does not intend to acquire commercial items using FAR Part 12. See NASASpecific Numbered Note 26 -- this can be accessed at the following URL:http://genesis.gsfc.nasa.gov/nasanote.html. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is336415, with a corresponding size standard in number of employees of 1,000.The anticipated release date of the RFP is on or about December 15, 2009, with ananticipated offer closing date on or about January 14, 2010. The actual due date forreceipt of offers will be stated in the prospective RFP. Upon issuance of the RFP, allqualified responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by thisagency. The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over theInternet. These documents will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may beaccessed using a WWW browser application. The Internet site, or URL, for the NASA/GSFCBusiness Opportunities home page ishttp://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=D&pin=51 Prospective offerors shall notify this office of their intent to submit an offer. It isthe offeror's responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of thesolicitation and amendments (if any).
