Description
This is a Sources Sought Announcement and will be used for acquisition planning purposes only.The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN 3), James J. Peters VA Medical Center, Bronx New York, Network Acquisitions and Logistics program is currently conducting a market survey to identify potential businesses capable of providing Car Services for eligible beneficiaries to and from VA New Jersey Health Care System (VANJHCS) East Orange / Lyons Campuses and its (10) Ten Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCS). Firm will also transport patients with scheduled clinic appointments to the various facilities outside New Jersey (Bronx /Brooklyn / Manhattan /Castle Point / Montrose /St. Albans). The firm will be responsible for providing all vehicles, management, supervision, personnel, materials, supplies, equipment and reports and shall plan, schedule, coordinate and assure effective performance of these required services. This car service is for ambulatory medically stable veterans only. If a Veteran is in a wheelchair, but can easily transfer to sit in the car, then the wheelchair will be folded and placed in the trunk. This service is anticipated to average 150 - 200 trips per week with between (1) one and (3) three passengers per trip. Response time required is 60 minutes. Firms must be able to demonstrate experience for the required services, it is preferred if the applicant has provided required services to other VA Medical Centers throughout the United States. The applicant must also provide minimum of (3) three "REFERENCES" for providing same or similar services.
