Description

This purpose of this announcement is to provide revisions to the previously announced procurement action. The work requires replacement of underground utilities connecting the mechanical room of the Visitor Center with a 30 ton chiller and concrete pad located approximately one hundred and eighty (180) linear feet away. All new / replaced utilities (chilled water lines, natural gas and electric) will go into the existing trench. Work includes the installation of new insulated supply and return chilled water lines and connections; the installation of natural gas piping and connections; the installation of new water supply piping with connections and frost proof spigot; the installation of conduit for future electrical and replacement of a 200amp 3 phase electrical service feed. The solicitation amendment will be available at http://ideasec.nbc.gov website on or about Wednesday December 2, 2009. The solicitation will provide all the details to submit a bid. THE SOLICITATION IS BEING AMENDED TO SET ASIDE FOR SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS This requirement is being amended to be solicitated as an Invitation for Bid (IFB), set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses in accordance with FAR 52.219-27. NAISC code 238220, size $14M. Award will be made to the responsive responsible contractor providing the lowest price. Contractor awarded this contract will need to be listed on the Central Contractor Registration website at www.ccr.gov and have a current active registration. All information will be posted in the solicitation.
