Description
NASA/KSC has a requirement for one (1) patrol riverboat, one (1) motor, and one (1)trailer. The riverboat is to be used as a security patrol in waters from six inches toten feet in depth. The riverboat must be able to be started, takeoff, and run at cruisespeed and stop in these water depths. See attached Specifications for requirements of thepatrol riverboat, motor, and trailer. This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation forcommercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, assupplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcementconstitutes the only solicitation, which is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ);quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Governmentintends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the Simplified AcquisitionProcedures set forth in FAR Part 13. The provisions and clauses are those in effectthrough FAC 2005-37. If the end product(s) offered is other than domestic end product(s)as defined in the clause entitled "Buy American Act -- Supplies," the offeror shall sostate and shall list the country of origin. All quotes must include solicitation number,FOB destination to KSC, proposed delivery schedule, discount/payment terms, warrantyduration, taxpayer identification number (TIN), identification of any special commercialterms, be signed by an authorized company representative, and a detailed description ofall items quoted accounting for all aspects of the specifications. All offerors musthave an active Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and registered in ORCA. Thisinformation can be found at https://www.bpn.gov/ccr/ and https://orca.bpn.gov/login.aspx.Selection and award will be made to the lowest priced, technically acceptable offeror.Technical acceptability will be determined by review of information submitted by theofferor which must provide a description in sufficient detail to show that the productsoffered meets the Government's requirements.Questions regarding this acquisition must be submitted in writing to Donny Wood, OP-OS,Kennedy Space Center FL 32899, donald.wood@nasa.gov no later than December 8, 2009.Offerors will submit quotes via email to the address above by 7:00 AM, EST December 10,2009. It is the quoter's responsibility to monitor this site for the release ofamendments (if any). Potential quoters will be responsible for downloading their own copyof this notice, and amendments (if any). An ombudsman has been appointed - See NASASpecific Note "B".
