- REQUEST FOR INFORMATION/SOURCES SOUGHT: The Department of Veterans Affairs, Office of Acquisition and Logistics, Technology Acquisition Center is looking for sources that are able to provide the Contractor maintenance and support for the VA Nationwide Teleconferencing System (VANTS) Tandberg Media Processing System (MPS), Tandberg Management Suite (TMS), Tandberg Gateway and Tandberg Gatekeeper. The VA Nationwide Teleconferencing System (VANTS) provides videoconferencing services to the entire Department of Veterans Affairs. The MPS, Gateway and Gatekeeper are located at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) in Minneapolis Minnesota and the TMS server is located at the VAMC in Martinsburg West Virginia. The scope of this project includes both on-site and remote maintenance support, to include telephone technical support from the Contractor for both emergency and routine service calls. Contractor support includes installation of new MPS, TMS, Gateway and Gatekeeper software releases, as well as, installation updates to the current software/hardware configurations that may be necessary to resolve equipment failures and ensure successful operation of the Tandberg MPS, TMS, Gateway and Gatekeeper. It is anticipated the VA will award a twelve-month Firm-Fixed-Price contract for this effort. Tasks to be performed may include: a)Contractor shall provide onsite and remote maintenance support for all video bridge features/functions, 24 hours a day/7 days a week. b)The contractor shall configure and provide onsite and remote maintenance support when required for 18 Primary Rate Interface (PRI) boards and 20-port ISDN Multiplexer (MUX) to accommodate successful ISDN network connections. c) The contractor shall configure and provide onsite and remote maintenance support when required for all necessary hardware/software to support Internet Protocol (IP) connectivity into the MPS. d)The contractor shall provide onsite and remote maintenance support when needed for the TMS database backup utility which automates database backup process. The contractor is required to configure changes to the TMS database whenever necessary due to upgrades or problems, to back up to a designated folder in the hard disk daily, and to monitor automated system backups weekly to ensure that backups are completed. The contractor will provide onsite and remote maintenance support for system recovery or failure. e)The contractor shall provide and install new software/hardware updates to the current configurations for the MPS, TMS, and Gateway upon release by Tandberg. f) The contractor shall configure and provide onsite and remote maintenance support when required for the Tandberg Gateway hardware and software. This request for information is being issued for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation nor does it restrict the Government as to the ultimate acquisition approach. Solicitation Number VA118-10-RI-0061 has been assigned to this Request for Information/Sources Sought Notice and does not constitute a solicitation for bids/proposals. The Government does not intend to pay for any information provided under this announcement. Interested sources may identify, in writing, their interest and capability to respond to this requirement.
