Description

The Missile Defense Agency intends to issue a sole source, contract modification to extend MDA’s current Missile Defense Data Center (MDDC) contract, W9113M-05-D-0003, to Gray Research, Inc., located in Huntsville, AL. The proposed contract modification is expected to be awarded on or about 15 March 2010. The modification will consist of a six-month period of performance extension (Oct 2010 – March 2011). This action is required to maintain continuity of operations and to avoid disruption of critical support, providing time to complete the move of the MDDC to Redstone Arsenal, AL. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 541712, Research and Development in Physical, Engineering and Life Sciences, with corresponding small business size standard 1,000 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No formal solicitation package is available. The authority for other than full and open competition is 10 USC 2304(c)(1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1 “Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements”. Responses received from this notice will be considered solely for planning purposes for the future MDA follow-on competitive procurement. The government will not be responsible for any costs incurred in responding to this notice.
