Description
This synopsis is being provided for information purposes only. NASA Goddard hasselected Fibertek Inc for the Laser Systems Engineering Services (LSES) contract,NNG09CP09C. This is an Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity Cost-Plus Award Feecontract valued at $35 million. The period of performance is five years. The NAICS Codeis 336419 and the Size Standard is 1,000 employees.The estimated value of the proposed task order #6 is $704,980. The anticipated period ofperformance is XX December 2009 to 31 July 2010.NASA Goddard intends to award Task Order #6 to contract NNG09CP09C, IAW the AmericanRecovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, PL 111-5. Task order #6 is High PRF, MicropulseLaser System for Aircraft Instrument Use.The scope of task order #6 is the development of an aircraft demonstrator/simulatorinstrument for the ICESat-2 photon-counting instrument is a high priority for theProject. Baseline platform is the high-altitude ER-2 aircraft to permit evaluation ofnumerous science and engineering trades. As such, the Project requires a lasertransmitter that is suited for such an application and is based on existing design (i.e.,is available in shortest possible schedule). This task involves building and deliveringa compact, high-repetition rate laser system that can be directly integrated to theairborne instrument. This work will be performed at the contractor's facility.This document and any other related documents to this procurement will be available overthe Internet. These documents will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may beaccessed using a WWW browser application.
