- THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCMENT OR REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. This is a market research tool being used to determine the availability and adequacy of potential business sources prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of a Request for Proposal including the use of any small business programs. The intent of this sources sought request is to identify potential qualified 8(a) small businesses that can provide the attached weapons parts list for the M-45, MEUSOC Pistol. Certified 8(a) small business firms possessing the capability noted above and who can deliver the attached parts list are encouraged and invited to submit a statement of capability and any supporting documentation for consideration. Responses must include the following: corporate business size as well as Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) code and Data Universal Number System (DUNS). Current intent of the government is to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract, to an 8(a) business(es) that can provide the required parts to the government. Total contract amount is estimated to not exceed $3.5 Mil for all years. The contract term will be for one year from the date of initial contract award with two (2) additional one year option periods. Current anticipated Government yearly demand is not expected to exceed the following: for all line items indicated in attachment one, no more than a quantity of 1,200 individual orders for 27 of the 28 specified line items. Of note, line item 27 is anticipated to have a yearly maximum order of 8,400. Marine Corps Systems Command will use the results of this announcement to determine what capabilities exist in the marketplace to fulfill the Government's requirement. This request for information is for planning purposes only. The Government will not pay or provide reimbursement for any costs incurred in the preparation or delivery of the request for information. Interested firms are requested to submit necessary information no later than Monday, 4 January, by 1600.
