Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, CA intends to procure on an other than full and open competition basis the following: 1) AIM-9X Block I Telemetry Harness Kits P/N 2255586-3 (Min Quanity 100 each; Max. Quantity - 300 each). 2) AIM-9X Block II Telemetry Harness Kits P/N 225586-3 (Min Quantity 20 each; Max. Quantity - 220 each). This requirement is sole sourced to The Raytheon Company, 1151 E. Hermans Rd, Tucson AZ for the procurement of Telemetry Harness Kits P/N 2255586-3 and P/N 2299737-3, used for the build up of Sidewinder AIM-9X missiles when integrating the AN/DKT-89 Secure Telemetry Systems as part of the all-up missile round assembly. The anticipated contract type is indefinite delivery indefinite quantity. Raytheon Company is the only approved supplier of these items and holds all rights and patents that apply to the design. It is not practicable for any source other than Raytheon Company to provide the required Telemetry Harness Kits without duplication of effort and unacceptable programmatic risks. Deliveries are to begin in December 2010. All responsible sources believing that they can provide the Telemetry Harness Kits may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency. Responses must clearly show the firm's ability to be responsive without compromising the quality, accuracy or reliability of the product, or causing programmatic hardship to the AIM-9X program.
