Description

Synopsis: The National Oceanic Acquisition and Grants Office intends to negotiate on a sole source basis under authority of Far 13.106-1(b)(1), with Pegasus Radio Corporation for a Land Mobile Radio Trunking System. Sole source determination is based on National Telecommunications and Information Administration's (NTIA) requirements to have continuous uninterrupted service to federal agencies, and to work in specified frequencies to accommodate radios previously purchased by federal agencies for the last three years. A change in frequencies would interrupt service and require a new infrastructure costing time and money. Pegasus Radio is the vendor that provides service to the federal agencies and the radios designed to work specifically with the special frequency. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a competitive basis is solely within the discretion of the Government.
