- RECOVERY: PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE FOR SACRAMENTO RIVER RAIL TRAIL, LOCATED IN SHASTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA. THIS PROJECT IS FUNDED FROM THE AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT (ARRA) (RECOVERY ACT) OF 2009. The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) intends to issue a Information for Bids (IFB) to award a single, firm fixed-price contract for paving approximately 6.8 miles of trail complete with shoulder backing and striping. One 3-inch lift of hot asphalt concrete will be placed and compacted to a width of 8 feet over the entire length of the existing trail. Shoulder backing will be placed adjacent to the entire paved area as specified. The centerline of the trail will be striped with yellow broken lines as specified. The following work is also required: preparing the existing surface for pavement, traffic control, sampling and testing of materials, and developing operating plans and schedules. The work is located in Shasta County, California. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 237310, with a standard size of $33.5M. The cost range is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. The anticipated period of performance is 60 calendar days from Notice to Proceed. This acquisition will be advertised on a restricted basis as 100% Service Disabled Veteran Owned Set-aside. THE SOLICITATION ALONG WITH ALL SPECIFICATIONS AND DRAWINGS WILL BE ISSUED ON/ABOUT DECEMBER 21, 2009. This announcement serves as the advanced notice for the project.
