- PR No: IQC09230009014; This solicitation will contain 1 NSN for SEAL, AIR, AIRCRAFT utilized on the F100-PW-229 Aircraft Engine. This solicitation is for award of an indefinite quantity contract. The solicitation has a base year and four option years. Configuration and Export Control applies. A Contractor First Article Test applies. The NSN and Annual Estimated Quantity (AEQ) are as follows: NSN: 2840-01-364-4450 OEM: UNITED TECHNOLOGIES CORP. CAGE 52661 and 77445 P/N 4080394-01 Approved sources for P/N 4080394-01: UNISON ENGINE COMPONENTS, INC. CAGE 16126 ENGINETICS CORPORATION CAGE 60168 BARNES GROUP INC. CAGE 75440 AEQ: 276 ea Delivery: FOB Destination, Inspection/Acceptance at Origin, 307 days after FAT approval. Surge requirements do not apply to this NSN. This is not a small business set aside. Other than full and open competition applies. The final contract award decision may be based on a combination of price, past performance, and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation. The anticipated issue date is on or about December 28, 2009. The anticipated award date is May 10, 2010. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with a limited number of sources under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice.
