Description
RECOVERY ACT - The VA Medical Center, 800 Poly Place, Brooklyn, New York 11209 has a requirement for Boiler Main Line Water Replacement, in accordance with drawings and specifications. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment and supervision necessary for a New Domestic Water Service and New Fire Service located at the facility. This shall be a 100% Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set-Aside (SDVOSB). As a result qualified SDVOSB's may submit a bid, which shall be considered by the agency. This project is classified under NAICS Code 238220, and has a size standard of $14.0 Million. The SDVOSB must be a small business under the relevant North American Industrial Classification Standard (NAICS) code and MUST be registered and verified in the following websites: http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov, http://ccr.gov,and http://orca.bpn.gov to be eligible for award. Bidders MUST ensure their registration at these websites are accurate and have not expired. The cost estimate range for this project is $250,000 and $500,000. The work for this requirement consists of, but is not limited to preparing site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures, as required by drawings and specifications. All work shall be completed within the timeframe of the contract documents, adhering to all Department of Veterans Affairs regulations, OSHA regulations, and all State and Federal agencies that can be affected by this project, and all work will be completed in full accordance with architect and engineer drawings and specifications provided. This is a Sealed Bid Procurement. All other details and information shall be contained in the solicitation, posted on www.fedbizopps.gov DECEMBER 2, 2009. The bid submittal address, date and time will be included in the solicitation. This project requires bonding and all bid submissions shall be in hardcopies; faxed or e-mailed bids will not be accepted. Bidders should re-visit the website located at www.fedbizopps.gov periodically to look for updates. All requests for information are required to be submitted in writing to the Contracting Officer and shall be received prior to bid opening by the date that will be specified in the solicitation. NO hardcopies, telephone inquiries or questions pertaining to the bid documents will be accepted. Award is subject to the availability of funds. This notice is provided for informational purposes only. This project is being funded from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
